Switch Game Server - Tinfoil Setup

📋 What You'll Need

Nintendo Switch with Custom Firmware (CFW)
Tinfoil installed on your Switch
Internet connection on your Switch

Step 1: Open Tinfoil

Launch Tinfoil on your Switch. Make sure you have internet access.

Step 2: Access File Browser

In Tinfoil, navigate to File Browser from the main menu.

Step 3: Add New Location

Press + (Plus button) to add a new file source.

Step 4: Select Protocol

Choose Add Nut Server or HTTP from the protocol list.

Step 5: Enter Server Details

Choose one of the following account types:

👤 Guest Account (Recommended for Friends)

URL: https://switch.hijodeputin.com
Username: [Ask server owner]
Password: [Ask server owner]

Read-only access - Can download games but cannot modify server settings

🔧 Admin Account (Server Owner Only)

URL: https://switch.hijodeputin.com
Username: [Contact admin]
Password: [Contact admin]

Full access - Can manage server settings, users, and library

Step 6: Save Configuration

Press A to save the configuration. The server should now appear in your file browser.

Step 7: Browse & Install

Navigate into the server folder to browse available games. Select any game and press A to install.

⚠️ Important Notes:

Make sure your Switch has enough storage space for the games
Installation times vary depending on game size and internet speed
Only install games you legally own
Keep your CFW and Tinfoil updated for best compatibility
Contact the server owner for login credentials

🔧 Troubleshooting

Connection Failed: Check your internet connection and ensure the URL is correct
Password Error: Make sure you're entering the correct password provided by the server owner
No Games Visible: The server might be starting up, wait a few minutes and refresh
Installation Stuck: Restart Tinfoil and try again
